Inventory Control Specialist, Saudi Arabia

Primary Role Focus

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory within Packers Plus Saudi Arabia. This role involves supervising warehouse activities, managing inventory transfers, and overseeing logistics for both domestic and international orders. The specialist will work closely with various departments to monitor inventory values, trends, and transactions, ensuring alignment with standard costs and production orders. This role reports to the MX Manufacturing Manager.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and oversee warehouse activities.
  • Manage productivity and performance of the Inventory department.
  • Resolve inventory issues to maintain efficiency.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders for equipment release and project completion.
  • Ensure collaboration between Inventory, Supply Chain, and Planning departments.
  • Assist in identifying cost-effective order quantities.
  • Support Shop Coordinators as required.
  • Ensure timely and professional resolution of job issues.
  • Collaborate with sales and field districts on orders and manufacturing timing.
  • Actively participate in projects as necessary.
  • Review global inventory levels regularly.
  • Manage overall inventory processes, including cycle counts, year-end, stocking, SKUs, rental, and customer stock.
  • Maintain and manage inventory levels.
  • Ensure efficient inventory utilization during product transitions.
  • Optimize utilization of slow-moving inventory.
  • Assist with ERP (MS Dynamics Business Central) and PDA processes.
  • Support Engineering Database management tasks (part number/suffix creation, BOM updates, ECNs).
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturing and field district stakeholders.
  • Prioritize projects and coordinate with inventory partners.
  • Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health & Safety program.

Position Requirements
Experience and Skills
  • Proven experience in inventory management and control, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • 5+ years of related experience in Inventory control
  • Experience with warehouse operations and logistics management.
  • Expert level familiarity with ERP systems, particularly MS Dynamics Business Central.
  • Experience in managing supply chain and planning processes.
  • Expert knowledge of equipment tracking processes and project flow
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.

Education and Training
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Degree in supply chain, business administration, business systems, or similar an asset
  • Certifications in lean manufacturing an asset

Physical, Business and Safety Requirements
  • Compliance with Packers Plus Health & Safety program
  • Position is Safety Sensitive and subject to a pre-employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol testing
  • Subject to post-incident and reasonable-cause drug & alcohol testing
  • Extended periods of sitting and use of computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse
  • Occasional heavy lifting up to 30kg
  • Less than 5% travel expected
