Mr. Wilson provides leadership to the senior management team and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategic initiatives at Packers Plus.
Mr. Wilson has over 24 years of industry experience, having worked with a major steel manufacturing company and major energy services company prior to joining Packers Plus. Mr. Wilson has vast global experience and has worked in all major basins around the world. He began his career as a Field Engineer in Norway and worked in the North Sea region in the early years of his career. He later moved to Houston and managed the thru-tubing packer business as the Global Product Line Champion. Mr. Wilson then became the Regional Technical Manager in Moscow, covering all coiled tubing operations in Russia and the surrounding area. Subsequently, he worked as the Operations Manager for the far east Russia region based in Sakhalin. From 2007 onwards, Mr. Wilson worked in the Middle East region, living in Saudi Arabia and Dubai, UAE, focusing on several key projects and accounts with particular focus on Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Egypt. Mr. Wilson moved to Packers Plus in 2014 and held the positions of General Manager and Eastern Hemisphere Director. A central theme to his career has been working intimately with customers in developing and applying new technology to improve both productivity and ultimate recovery from oil, gas, and gas condensate reservoirs.
Mr. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, and a master’s degree in Business and Operations Management from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim, Norway. He is the author of many technical papers and publications on multi-stage completion technologies, and completion and coiled tubing new technologies. He was named a World Oil New Horizons Award finalist for one of his authored publications.
Mr. Wilson currently resides in Dubai with his wife and two teenage children, where they take pleasure in a wide range of sporting and cultural activities.
