Primary Role Focus

This role will work in a learning capacity performing a range of responsibilities, reporting to the Design Engineer in KSA.  This role will be responsible for creating basic drawings from 3D models and performing other engineering design administrative duties that support new product development.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Works under close supervision of a Designer or Engineer
• Creates basic models and drawings within SolidWorks 3D modeling software
• Performs drawing maintenance activities
• Generates part number requests and bill of materials
• May assist with light engineering calculations as required under the guidance of an engineer
• Initiates Engineering Change Notices
• Updates Job Design Files in accordance to PP procedures
• Works with Technical Writers to create Tech Docs
• Assembles design packages for design reviews/customer reviews
• Updates products with design improvements
• Initiates equipment orders
• Performs light testing duties
• Ensures compliance with Packers Plus safety and health program

Position Requirements

Experience and Skills

• 0 - 4 years of experience in a similar role
• Oil and Gas experience preferred
• Good working knowledge in SolidWorks model generation and drawing creation
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe)

Education and Training

• Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Drafting Technology Certificate or similar is preferred

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program
• Subject to post-incident and reasonable-cause drug & alcohol testing
• Position is Safety Sensitive and subject to a pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
